What are ECTS points?

ECTS stands for European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System. It is a standard for comparing the study attainment and performance of students of higher education across the European Union and other collaborating European countries. 1 ECTS point is equivalent to 30 hours of work. The workload and course descriptions are summarized in the module description of the Summer Academy. Home universities may decide on the equivalent credits they may award to their students based on that description.
